Help The Poor has launched the "Small Loan Program" for quite a while and several projects are in the working. Several families all over the country are being helped with a small fund to start raising livestocks or starting a crop. This fund will be paid back after 6 months or 12 months depending on the interest-free agreement. The success of this program depends much on the local management of the local nuns and priests.

Lately, 20 families in Ro Luc parish, Phu Tho province, have just signed the agreements and received the loans. They will use this money to raise livestocks. Father Do Cong Tieu of Ro Luc suggested this project and was approved by Help The Poor. Each family receives an amount of 3 million VND and promises to pay back in due time so that the same fund could be loaned to other families. A total of nearly 4000 USD (60 million VND) is passed out to these families.

One of the members among these families has expressed their deep thanks to the benefactors of Help The Poor charity organization.

Help The Poor also donates 15 millions VND to the parish's schoolchildren for computer equipment on this same day. It will help children in this remote village catch on with the rest of the world.
